RPCS Manual

The Rakata Power Combat System (RPCS) launched in our simulation in August 2026 in beta mode. The Force HUD (Heads-Up Display) interface had existed since 2009. At that time, FCRS creator Cindy Kellner granted limited access to her system and released "no-mod" scripts, allowing any capable developer to create their own HUDs for FCRS. We were among the few to seize this opportunity—with valuable assistance from an SL scripter named Uber Rosca—and created our own. The new concept for this FCRS-based HUD involved a "Mass Attack" feature; while this deviated from official canon, it made combat far more spectacular and dramatic. Unfortunately, once FCRS ceased operations, further development of our Rakata Power HUD became impossible. But, as the saying goes, ideas never die. After years of using other systems, some players expressed a desire to revive FCRS or create a new system based on a rank hierarchy. That is exactly what we did—this time, entirely with the help of AI. The base script was created under my close supervision using Grok. At one point, Grok refused—yes, that can happen—to create a version linked to a server-side database. Development continued with ChatGPT, Gemini (which optimized the script, though perhaps too radically), and finally, the paid version of Claude. By early September 2026, a beta version for melee combat was operational, featuring rewritten Force HUD scripts and a health regeneration add-on (known as "bacta"). It took me two weeks of spare time after work to create it. I can't say it was easy—after all, I'm not a scripter—but thanks to AI, it turned out to be possible, and our RPCS is now up and running. A description of the system and its key features follows below. Every notecard handed out in world, in one place. Newest changes are at the top of each card.

RPCS 4.1 — MEDITATION, AND WHAT THE METER NOTICES

Two small corrections. Neither adds anything new to play; both close a

door that was standing open.

MEDITATION IS NOW VISIBLE

Meditation used to be a private matter between you and your own meter.

The aura was an attachment, and anyone who simply left it off was meditating invisibly — the animation was hidden under their AO, and from more than a few metres away nobody could tell. From 4.1 the state stands in the meter's own floating text, in the last line, where "Ready" or "Engaged" normally sits: Meditating The aura is decoration now. The meter tells the truth whether you wear it or not, and anyone who can read your name can read this.

MEDITATION ENDS WHEN YOU FIGHT

Meditation triples your recovery. That was always meant for the quiet

between scenes — not for the middle of one. Your focus now breaks by itself the moment you: take damage of any kind spend Stamina or Force — a power, a deflection, a strike press the mouse button to attack You will see: Your focus breaks. and recovery returns to normal at once. If a shrine was feeding you, it stops feeding you in the same moment. There is no cooldown and no penalty. Step out of the fight, sit down, start again. The only thing you can no longer do is both at once. WHY Three times recovery while trading blows is not meditation. It was not forbidden anywhere, which is exactly why it needed saying: a rule that depends on nobody noticing is not a rule.

THE MOVEMENT WATCH, QUIETER

The meter keeps an eye on how far you travel. It blocks nothing — a

foreign HUD cannot be intercepted — but what it notices, it reports. It was too eager. A teleport door throws you ninety metres in a second, and the meter dutifully announced ninety metres a second. Sim doors, landmarks and sit-warps all tripped it. It now tells a jump from a journey. A teleport is one large step and then normal walking; a foreign dash or a speed tool keeps going. Only movement that repeats gets reported, and teleports, region crossings and the moment you attach the meter are ignored outright. If you were seeing [RPCS] Unusual movement noticed: ... on your own sim's doors, that stops. A dash from another system is still noticed, as before — use the one in your meter.

NOTHING ELSE CHANGED

No values, no ranks, no costs. Update your meter and carry on.

Your combat system must read version 4.1. Touch your meter and choose Update if it does not.
