Rakata Power Combat System

Rakata Power Inside!

Roleplay combat meter for Star Wars RP in Second Life.

Running version 2.0 · beta

What it does

Health, stamina and Force are tracked on the avatar. Damage comes only from this system — not from push-sabers, not from stray collisions. Ranks and character data live in a central database: an officer registers you once, and every meter you wear loads your rank, faction, name and tag colour by itself.

Three separated modes

Roleplaying, Training and OOC cannot touch each other. Nobody is dragged into a fight they did not agree to.

Defeat has weight

Falling in RP means two hours out of character. Your state lives on the server — detaching the meter will not heal you.

Force economy

Resist shrugs off sleep, hold and poison for ten points. Drain an opponent first and they can no longer refuse anything.

Six ranks, shared values

Every order uses the same ladder and the same numbers. Only the titles differ, so no faction is stronger by design.

Bacta and revival

Five minutes in the tank puts you back on your feet. An officer can lift the lock when the story calls for it.

Fair by construction

A hardcoded swing cooldown stops macros and clickers. Meters can only be reset in Training mode.

Development status

Live
Melee & Force powers

Lightning, poison, cure, push, pull, hold, sleep, drain, dash and mass abilities. Version 2.0 beta.

Live
Server-side ranks & state

Central database, multi-faction terminals, bacta tanks, officer revival, version checking.

Coming
Non-Force users

Blasters with line-of-sight checks and saber deflection, so troopers and Force users meet on even ground.

Planned
Combat statistics

Personal records of duels, defeats and treatment — recorded now, shown once there is enough to read.

Orders using RPCS

Each order runs its own region and its own terminals. The meter is the same for everyone — your faction comes from your database entry, not from the copy you wear.

Getting started

Pick up a free meter at the vendor on Lehon, wear it, then ask an officer of your order to register your character at a Faction Terminal. That is the whole setup — everything else loads by itself.
