Rakata Power Inside!
Roleplay combat meter for Star Wars RP in Second Life.
Health, stamina and Force are tracked on the avatar. Damage comes only from this system — not from push-sabers, not from stray collisions. Ranks and character data live in a central database: an officer registers you once, and every meter you wear loads your rank, faction, name and tag colour by itself.
Roleplaying, Training and OOC cannot touch each other. Nobody is dragged into a fight they did not agree to.
Falling in RP means two hours out of character. Your state lives on the server — detaching the meter will not heal you.
Resist shrugs off sleep, hold and poison for ten points. Drain an opponent first and they can no longer refuse anything.
Every order uses the same ladder and the same numbers. Only the titles differ, so no faction is stronger by design.
Five minutes in the tank puts you back on your feet. An officer can lift the lock when the story calls for it.
A hardcoded swing cooldown stops macros and clickers. Meters can only be reset in Training mode, and incoming hits are checked for range and cover on the receiving side.
Nothing is rezzed to deal damage, so the region stays fast and nobody without a registered meter can hurt you. Region push can stay switched off — the system never needs it.
Sabers, lightning, poison, cure, push, pull, hold, sleep, drain and mass abilities — plus blasters with three fire modes, grenades and thermal detonators. Version 2.9 beta.
Central database, multi-faction terminals, bacta tanks, officer revival, version checking.
Walls stop blaster fire and blasts outright. Every hit is verified by the meter that receives it, not by the one that sends it.
Personal records of duels, defeats and treatment — recorded now, shown once there is enough to read.
Each order runs its own region and its own terminals. The meter is the same for everyone — your faction comes from your database entry, not from the copy you wear.
Pick up a free meter at the vendor on Lehon, wear it, then ask an officer of your order to register your character at a Faction Terminal. That is the whole setup — everything else loads by itself.
